Cracking Ideas are heading to Birmingham for the 2018 Big Bang Fair, and we can‘t wait to introduce you to the wonderful world of intellectual property with singing challenges and competitions. The Big Bang Fair is the UK’s largest science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) event for young people. This year it runs from Wednesday 13th – Saturday 19th March at Birmingham NEC.
Our stand (222) is packed full of exciting, interactive activities for you to participate in and there will be heaps to learn as you make your way around. The Karaoke Shower will be in tow giving you an opportunity to fill the auditorium with the sound of your vocal abilities! Just pull the curtain shut and pick a favourite track to sing along to. But that’s where the secrecy ends: every moment of your performance is shown on the video screens outside the booth! As well as letting you unleash your inner Stormzy, Sam Smith or Sia, the Karaoke Shower helps increase respect for artists’ copyright – and in particular highlights copyright issues around illegal downloading.
If you think you can spot the difference between the real deal and a fake copy in our selection of designer goods just pop along and enter our “Find the Fake” competition. You could be in with a chance of winning a great prize and also learn about the importance of buying real at our stand.
As well as all this we’ll have a selection of free teaching resources to hand out and lots of useful information for any teachers, students, parents or anyone with an interest in IP to inspire creativity and innovation.
We’ll see you there, and enjoy The Big Bang Science Fair
