The first complete camera phone was built by Philippe Kahn in 1997. In the 10 years since, demand has gone ballistic and it is estimated that over 1 billion camera phones will be shipped in 2008. There are several patents relevant to camera phones yet they are often caught up in copyright infringement as they can be used to share media almost immediately. This makes them especially useful for spies and the paparazzi (allegedly…).
