If everyone got their fair share

9 – What if… everyone got their fair share? FAIRTRADE

The FAIRTRADE mark is an independent consumer labelling system, designed to give producers in developing countries a better deal. Fairtrade labelling was created in the Netherlands and launched in 1988 with a single product; Mexican coffee. Today there are over 2,000 Fairtrade products on UK shelves, including chocolate, bananas, roses and sports balls, all bearing the distinctive green, blue and black Fairtrade logo.
