Just Grand Lad!

The vital statistics for ‘Wallace & Gromit Present a World of Cracking Ideas’ are in … and, they’re looking good!

The Intellectual Property Office sponsored exhibition closed its doors at Newcastle’s Life Science Centre for the last time on 22 January concluding its tour of three of the top UK Science venues and visitor attractions. We are delighted to announce that a whopping 146,598 people took the opportunity to visit ‘World of Cracking Ideas’ whilst it was based in Newcastle.

This figure means the overall total number of visitors who have enjoyed the exhibition since launch in 2009 is a tremendous 545,189. This is indeed a fabulous figure which is, in the words of Wallace & Gromit, “just grand!”

Throughout its residencies at The Science Museum, Glasgow Science Centre and Life Science Centre everyone has had an opportunity to access the creative world of Wallace & Gromit and been able to see the important role innovation plays in our everyday lives. They’ve got involved in the fun interactives, been impressed by the inventive duo’s cracking contraptions and pitted their wits in challenges and games all about the important role of intellectual property in the world around us.

It’s great news, therefore, that inspired by the achievements of the IPO’s sponsorship the exhibition is travelling ‘down under’ to Australia with Aardman to inspire Antipodean innovators and fans of Wallace & Gromit there.

Thank you to Everyone who has contributed to the success of ‘Wallace & Gromit Present a World of Cracking Ideas’ over the past three years. Please help us to continue to inspire the innovators of the future here at  Cracking Ideas and let’s get some stunning vital statistics for forum members, game plays and competition entries too!
